IEEE South Australia Young Professionals MATLAB Workshop Presented by Dr. BISMA Manzoor FREE Workshop open to all interested. MATLAB related installation instructions will be provided to participants at least 7 days before the workshop. This workshop will cover some general concepts, basic examples, problem solving exercise and advance resource links. For anyone who would like to get started with MATLAB, or refresh your MATLAB skills, Mathworks offers a free online self-paced onramp course that will take about 2 hours. https://matlabacademy.mathworks.com/#getting-started Presenter’s Bio: Dr Bisma works as a DSP Engineer with Fleet Space Technologies, Australia, one of Australia’s leading space companies providing connectivity to large-scale ground Internet of Things (IoT) devices via the Nanosatellites equipped with advanced communication technologies. Dr Bisma undertakes the task of designing and processing the digital signal algorithms and core access mechanisms used in the satellite and the ground devices. She graduated with a PhD in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the School of Engineering, RMIT University. She investigated the operation of low-power Internet of Things Access networks, where she identified the mechanisms to optimize the coverage of terrestrial and non-terrestrial IoT networks while examining the energy costs of IoT devices. She previously worked as a sessional academic at RMIT University for four years and is experienced in training young engineers and promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in young people. She is a recipient of multiple awards, including the recognition for excellence in teaching award and DVC’s Excellence for research in STEM award, RMIT.
