Speaker:  Jesús Campo Uribe, Technical Manager, LivingLab (MedTechVic), Swinburne University of Technology Abstract: Optimising stability and manoeuvrability in manual wheelchairs within a multidisciplinary team - the project goal is to develop a device and methodology to determine the seated position of a wheelchair user, through the calculation of the centre of gravity, to assess, monitor and potentially improve clinical practices and user outcomes at the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Specialist Wheelchair and Seating Clinic. This talk will discuss the approach to managing stability of the wheelchair by the Swinburne University of Technology team comprising members from the clinical, allied health and engineering professions.
