NSW Section Communication Policy
All chapters, affinity groups and student branches must ensure that events are listed on vTools at least 2 weeks before the scheduled event. vTools is the IEEE’s event management software and database of all IEEE events being held across the world. Participation numbers must be recorded in vTools within 2 weeks of the event.
Events listed in vTools in a timely manner will be distributed within the Section e-notices to all members, generally twice per month. Within a few days prior to the scheduled event, events listed on vTools will be promoted on the Sections Facebook and LinkedIn pages. Each individual chapter, affinity group or student branch should communicate events to their direct membership via an e-notice in advance and within 48hours of the event.
Each chapter, affinity group and student branch should post items of relevance to members via the Section Facebook and LinkedIn pages as necessary. All posts must respect IEEE communication guidelines.
