Abstract— The research work aims to study and analyze the effects of generation dispatch order on the system parameters of existing condition of Integrated Nepal Power System (INPS). The study also emphasizes on the import and export modes, issues and its effects on system parameters with under-construction system in INPS. Two system models have been developed on Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) for simulation purpose. Initially existing hydropower plants and transmission lines that are in operation along with the loading of existing substation in fiscal year 2018/2019 have been used to develop existing system model of INPS. Secondly, under-construction hydropower plants, substations, and transmission lines that have been expected to be commissioned till the end of year 2020 have been incorporated on existing system model with 8% annual increment of load at various substations. Transmission system loss of existing system of INPS while being operated at NEA followed generation dispatch order, and existing system of INPS operated at new generation dispatch order with under-construction system operated at export mode of cross border transmission line to export the excess power through Muzzaffarpur -Dhalkebar 400 KV cross border transmission line have been analyzed.
Keywords—load flow, cross border, dispatch, transmission loss, INPS
