Reliability Assessment for Transmission System of Bagmati Province

Abstract—The reliability assessment of transmission, generation composite system of Bagmati Province of Nepal has been conducted using DIgSILENT. The Roy Billinton Test System network for educational purpose is modeled first as a test case and reliability assessment has been performed. The current scenario of existing generation, transmission and load has been considered as a base case for reliability assessment. The case with load increase of 9% has been considered as a second case. And for the third case increased generation, load and transmission line has been considered. A comparative study of all the three cases has been carried out.
