IEEE PES Nepal Chapter

International Conference on Power System Technology (PowerCon) is an IEEE Power Engineering conference organized in Asia Pacific Region. This was jointly initiated by Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering and IEEE Power and Energy Society in 1998. The conference is a premier platform that brings together electrical engineers, researchers, academicians and practitioners from all over the world to disseminate their knowledge and findings for the advancement of the electrical power and energy sector.

PowerCon 2024 was 16th in its series and was jointly organized by IEEE Power and Energy Society and IEEE Power and Energy Society Nepal Chapter, and technically co-sponsored by Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering. The conference featured plenary sessions, technical paper presentations and tutorial sessions. PowerCon 2024 was organized at Kathmandu the capital city of Nepal, on November 4-6, 2024.

44 technical research papers were presented in the conference by authors from 17 countries. 7 keynote speeches, 2 plenary speeches and one invited talk were delivered by prominent academicians and experts in power system technology from different countries of the world. Two tutorial sessions were also provided by distinguished professors in power system engineering.
