IEEE Power & Energy Society Nepal Chapter since its establishment has been conducting activities to uplift the research and practices in electrical power and energy sector. The International conference on “Role of Energy for Sustainable Social Development in ‘New-normal’ Era” was a step forward. The online conference provided a common platform for researchers, academicians and practitioners from Universities, Industries as well as Government organizations to disseminate their knowledge and findings for the sustainability of the electrical power and energy sector. Original research findings with focus on electrical power & energy sector development were presented. Keynote speeches were provided by Prof Dr. Kjetil Uhlen, NTNU, Norway, Prof Dr. Ajit Kumar Verma, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Haugesand, Norway, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Karki, Professor, University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and Dr. Krishna Mohan, Toronto, Canada.
