Abstract— Electric vehicles (EVs) are the future of transportation and their implementation will improve the environmental impacts as opposed to the conventional ones. The challenge of increasing the electric vehicle in any power system network depends on its capability i.e. whether the power system could handle the huge flexible electric vehicle load. The project is focused on determining the application of Advanced Adiabatic Compressed Air Energy Storage (AA-CAES) in a modified 33-bus system to check the improvement in system’s load capability as well as to optimize the cost related with the power system. Here, Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) is adapted for the determination of vehicle motion as well as loads in the power system. AA-CAES model with 5 different modes of operation has been incorporated. The no. of EVs used and simulations used for Monte Carlo is 1000 and 200 respectively. Three scenarios are considered for the project with first two indicating the optimal operation of power system with cost objective function with and without the integration of AA-CAES model. Scenario 3 shows the load capability of the system with and without the inclusion of AA-CAES model. Similarly, the results after simulation shows that the reduction in cost can be achieved for the simulation of 24hr period with application of AA-CAES model in power system. And through scenario 3, the increase in load capability of the system can be seen after the inclusion of AA-CAES model.
