On 6th March 2024, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, “HerStory” event unfolded,  hosted by IEEE SAHRDAYA SB in collaboration with IEEE EdSoc Kerala chapter as a one-day initiative with a primary goal of empowering women by Honouring women’s achievements and advancing gender equality.

The inauguration ceremony began with a heartfelt prayer by the college choir, uniting all present in a moment of reflection and spiritual connection, setting the tone for a day of inspiration and empowerment.Welcome address was delivered by Sneha Prasanth (WIE Secretary), Presidential address by Fr. Dr. Anto Chungath (Executive Director of SCET), Inaugural address by Dr.Nixon Kuruvila (Principal of SCET), Honouring ceremony of women HOD’S Felicitation by Dr.Leon Ittiachen (Director of SCET), Felicitation by Dr.Sudha George Valavi (Joint Director of SCET) and finally concluded the inauguration ceremony by delivering the vote of thanks by Afreen Harees.

The event began with a membership development session by Mr.Robin Francis followed by the spotlight event by RJ Paulsy ‘’TAKE IT EASY PAUSLY”. It was an engaging as well as an entertaining session where everyone forgot about themselves and had a lot of fun.

After the lunch break we had arranged a stage to outcast the talents of women’s where different talents of women’s were showcased along with an icebreaking session. 

Then we had an inspirational talk session by our Guest of Honour and Awardee Ms.Gayathri Padmanabhan, a  Feminist, traveller, dancer, teacher, artist, home maker and moreover a mother to make our day more meaningful. Through her talk session she had motivated each and every girls to follow their passion as their profession.

Finally, we concluded the event by a feedback and photo taking session.

The feedbacks were quite impressive and promising. Some of the feedbacks collected from attendees indicated high satisfaction levels and provided valuable insights for future event planning and improvement.

The event had a wonderfully positive atmosphere, celebrating the achievements and contributions of women from all walks of life. The speakers were incredibly inspiring, sharing their stories and insights in a way that resonated with the audience and left everyone feeling motivated. 

The event covered a wide range of topics relevant to women’s lives, including empowerment, career advancement, health and wellness, and gender equality. 

Overall, it was a fantastic Women’s Day event that left attendees feeling inspired, empowered, and connected.
