Prasidh Ramabadran received the B.E. degree in instrumentation and electronics from Visvesvaraya Technological University, India, in 2004. He received his Ph.D. degree in millimeter wave radio systems from National University of Ireland, Maynooth. He has over 18 years of experience in RF and microwave hardware design for defense, medical, and commercial applications. He currently leads the development of RF System design for 5G NR transcievers in Qualcomm, India. He held a position of a Senior Design Engineer and the RF Technical Leader with General Electric (GE) and Pace PLC (now part of Commscope) before returning to academics. He holds three U.S. patents which during his tenure with GE, applied for three patents while pursuing PhD. His research interests are antenna design, power amplifier design, digital predistortion of power amplifiers, and analog and digital co-design of wideband transceivers. He has currently filed an invention disclosure for a power efficiency improvement scheme in 5G NR mmWave transmitters through spatial combining.
