Abstract
In-circuit impedance measurement provides useful information for many EMC related applications. Among various in-circuit impedance measurement methods, the inductive coupling approach is attractive because its measurement setup has no physical electrical contact with the energized system under test, thereby simplifying the on-site implementation without any electrical safety hazards. This seminar will present the latest research developments on the inductive coupling approach and its applications. First of all, the significance of in-circuit impedance measurement, research background, measurement setups based on the inductive coupling approach and the related calibration techniques will be introduced respectively. Subsequently, some practical applications will be discussed, such as the extraction of the parasitic parameters of the power semiconductor, the measurement of the noise source impedance of the motor drive system, and the online monitoring of the stator winding of the inverter-fed induction motor. The conclusion and future works will be presented finally.
