2024 IEEE SILCHAR SUBSECTION CONFERENCE (IEEE SILCON 2024) at National Institute of Technology, Agartala Technical Co-Sponsorship: IEEE Kolkata Section
Welcome to the official website of the IEEE Silchar Subsection. IEEE Silchar Subsection came into existence on 26th June 2021 with great efforts from the IEEE community at NIT Silchar and other IEEE Members from the North-Eastern India region. IEEE Silchar Subsection will have geographical reach over higher educational institutions in Assam, Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, and Nagaland states of the North-Eastern Part of India in respect of activities of IEEE. The subsection works for creating opportunity and space in the line of IEEE mandate to advance technology for the benefit of humanity. The subsection looks at various technical activities, including facilitating Technical Co-Sponsorship for Conferences, Conducting Workshops, Technical Seminars, Distinguished Lecture programs, Colloquiums, and other possible technical activities. The subsection is actively engaged in bringing student members into various activities through the student chapters.

IEEE Silchar Subsection is pleased to announce the IEEE Silchar Subsection Student Summer Internship Program – 2024 (IS3IP-2024) for the undergraduate student communities of the region. Duration of the Internship is 6-8 weeks commencing from 1 June 2024.

IEEE IAS Joint Chapter of IEEE Kolkata Section and IEEE Silchar Subsection has been inaugurated on 30 May 2023 at NIT Silchar by Prof. Andy Knight, President, IEEE Industry Application Society and Prof. Ayman EL-Refaie, President-Elect, IEEE Industry Application Society.
