PES Day 2021

In April 2008, the Power Engineering Society changed its name to the Power & Energy Society to emphasis on the climate change related concerns all around the globe. Since then, April 22^nd has been officially honored as PES day and all the IEEE PES activities conducted in the month of April are dedicated to PES Day.

This year, PES Day is celebrating its 4^th anniversary with the theme of “Clean Energy Revolution”. There are numerous global and local events have been organized on the clean energy revolution all around the world in a virtual mode. As based in New Zealand, IEEE PES New Zealand North Section is organizing three local events in the month of April 2021 as part of IEEE PES Day 2021, which are as follows:

Global Perspective and Panel Discussion on 100% Renewable Energy Systems, Auckland and Online, 6:00PM – 7:30PM, 15 April 2021
Young Professional Session for young energy professionals, Auckland and Online, 6:00PM – 7:30PM, 22 April 2021- TBC
