Introduction to CCTV Join the Electrical Engineering Group for a Presentation by Jacques du Toit of Axis Communications for an introduction to closed-circuit television (CCTV). In addition to our Electrical Engineering Group members, we extend the invitation to members of the Institution of Engineering & Technology (IET) and the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE). This presentation will cover an introduction to CCTV. CCTV was developed to detect and deter criminal activities. Today it’s used for a plethora of functions including business operations, automating industrial machines, gathering traffic statistics, behavioural analysis and retail intelligence to name a few.
