Detail: The three key-note speakers, who came from all over the world: 1. Samar K. Saha, Technical Advisor, Ultrasolar Technology, Santa Clara, USA 2. Alex Mason, University of Liverpool, UK 3. Shikharesh Majumdar, Carleton University, Canada. The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Bhabani Prosad Sinha, ISI, Kolkata. The conference attracted 96 papers from all over India and abroad. The number of papers accepted for oral presentation was 22 and for poster section, 12 papers were selected.

Title of the Workshop: National Workshop on Nano Device and Its Applications
Date: 17th-18th January 2014
Detail: The workshop was organized by Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, India. This two day workshop presented comprehensive details of the state of the art VLSI devices and its applications in integrated circuit design. There were 3 tutorial sessions, conducted by Dr. Soumya Pandit, Prof. Chandan K. Sarkar and Dr. Angsuman Sarkar. Apart from theoretical lectures, hands-on-training on TCAD simulation was provided to the participants. The workshop was attended by nearly 150 students, 10 research scholars and 8 professors

Title of the Workshop: International Conference. Microelectronics, Circuits and Systems
Date: 11th -13th July 2014
Detail: At the opening session, Shri R.N.Lahiri of IETE Kolkata mentioned about the current status of CMOS transistors and opto electronic devices for various applications including logic, memory and power applications. The key note speech was delivered by Prof. Soumya Pandit, Chair, ED Calcutta Chapter in the domain of Nano-scale Challenges of CMOS Circuits. He elaborated the various ultra deep-submicron issues of MOS transistors and the dominant effects of these on the circuit performances. Active discussions took place through many questions and comments. About 100 Professors, Scientists and professionals in the field of electronics attended the conference. About 180 papers were received, 70 of them accepted for presentations, 65 papers were registered and 60 presented.
