The seventh episode of the “Her Quest” Talk Series marked a celebration of India’s pioneering satellite payload, entirely engineered by the remarkable women of LPS Institute of Technology for Women. The students and educators from this institution showcased their ingenuity and engineering prowess in a spectacular manner.
The episode served as a tribute to the groundbreaking journey undertaken by these women towards their space mission. The focus of the discussion was the visionary team behind VAT, the Women Engineers from the Space Club of LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Kerala. These trailblazing women achieved something truly extraordinary – the development of India’s first satellite payload by an all-women team. Moreover, they accomplished a significant milestone by creating the first student satellite from the government of Kerala, known as OD from Campus Cosmos.
This outstanding achievement stands as a testament to the limitless potential inherent in human curiosity, determination, and the unwavering spirit of exploration. The event showcased the power of collaboration and the ability of these women to overcome challenges, leaving an indelible mark on the history of space exploration in India.
