Online Workshop: Micropython

IEEE Education Society (EdSoc) Kerala Chapter organized an online workshop on Micropython as part of Membership Activities And Technical Training, on 27th July at 7 PM IST. The event was conducted as a basis for the matt offline workshop,lead by Harigovind M 2020 CUSAT pass out, currently working as Substation  Design Engineer at TCS. He is also one of the YP coordinator of the Edsoc Kerala Chapter. He introduced the microPython to the participants. They were very eager to know the advantages of using micro python. It was clear for them that MicroPython is a tiny open source Python programming language interpreter that runs on small embedded development boards. With MicroPython you can write clean and simple Python code to control hardware instead of having to use complex low-level languages like C or C++ .Later he move on to tell the difference between the python and MicroPython.MicroPython does not come with the full standard library. It only includes a small subset of the Python standard library. 

After that the session moved on to the Q&A . Feedback from several participants also highlighted the session.A clear idea of advantage of using microPython interpreter that runs on small embedded development boards boards was created among the participants.
