The membership development session on IEEE was organized as part of Membership Activities And Technical Training, a project funded by the IEEE R10 Educational Activities Committee, on 26th June 2022.

Er. Karthik K, who is the MD Chair of IEEE Kerala Section, Al Engineer, Innovation Incubator Advisory was the facilitator for the session.

The event began by having a quick glance on IEEE i.e about its statistics, different societies etc. Further, he also gave examples of the activities that contribute towards professional growth and advancements. The role of being an IEEE volunteer in building a successful engineering background was also discussed. Following that a general overview regarding the awards and fundings were given. The core topic i.e the benefits of IEEE membership was also instilled into the heads of attendees. The session also covered topics on special interest groups and various hackathons and competitions. It also emphasized the relevance of collaboration over competition. 

So in a nutshell, the talk session was informative and useful for the participants as it created a strong plot on IEEE in each and attendees head  and made them aware of the benefits of IEEE in it’s right sense.
