Difference between Course-Based Education and Research

IEEE Education Society Kerala Chapter (EdSoc KC) organized a webinar session about the Difference between Course-Based Education and Research on 28th  November 2021 at 7:00 pm IST. The session was conducted in association with IEEE EdSoc SBC CE Perumon, IEEE EdSoc SBC NSSCE Palakkad, and IEEE EdSoc Hyderabad Chapter. The session was handled by Mr. Shreepad Karmalkar, Professor of EEE and Teaching Learning Centre IIT Madras.

To commence the event, Ms. Najiha Noorudheen from the Student Team of IEEE EdSoc KC cordially invited Ms. Kavya K S MD Coordinator of IEEE EdSoc KC to address everyone with a welcome note. Ms. Kavya accepted the invitation and on the behalf of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter, she welcomed all the honored guests who had gathered for the session.

After the welcome address, Ms. Najiha Noorudheen invited Dr. K C Raveendranathan,  Research Activities Chair of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter to give a brief introduction about the speaker. In his address, Mr. Raveendranath shared that Mr. Shreepad Karmalkar, is working as a Professor at the department of EEE at IIT Madras. He received his B-Tech and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Madras. He is a visiting lecturer at various US universities.

Later Mr. Raveendranath invited the eminent speaker for the session. Accepting the invitation, Mr. Shreepad came forward and took the session. He gave a detailed session about the topic. At the end of the session IEEE EdSoc, Kerala Chapter gave the speaker a Virtual Memento as a token of love and gratitude.

With the event reaching its conclusion, on behalf of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter Ms. Najiha Noorudheen expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries who were present all through the event even in the middle of busy schedules. She also thanked all the attendees for their constant support. With that, the event concluded.
