IEEE Education Society KC Gateway to Infosys Springboard

IEEE Education Society Kerala Chapter (EdSoc KC) organized a virtual ceremony to inaugurate the IEEE EdSoc KC Gateway to Infosys Springboard on 23rd October 2021 at 6:30 pm IST. The main agenda of the event was to inaugurate the collaboration of the IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter with Infosys in the initiative of Springboard. The guests invited for the event were Dr. MS Rajasree, Vice-Chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Mr. Thirumala Arohi, Vice President at Infosys Head of Education, Training and Assessment, Mrs. Suja Wariar, Corporate Diversity, and Inclusion HRD at Infosys limited, Mr. Kiran NG, Principal Architecture Track & Program Manager at Digital Literacy Initiative, Infosys CSR and Mr. Deepak Mathur, Director of IEEE R-10 (Asia-Pacific). Along with them, several prominent IEEE members including Prof. Muhammed Kasim, Founder Chair of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter, Er CM Varughese, Chair of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter, Dr. K Kesavaswamy, Advisor of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter, and many others graced the occasion.

To commence the event, Mr. Govind S Warrier from the Student Team of IEEE EdSoc KC cordially invited Dr. MV Rajesh, Project Lead of IEEE EdSoc KC Gateway to Infosys Springboard to address everyone with a welcome note. Dr. Rajesh graciously accepted the invitation and provided a brief introduction to the Education Society Kerala Chapter and its vision. On behalf of the EdSoc Kerala Chapter, he then welcomed all the honoured guests who had gathered for the inauguration ceremony.

After the welcome address, Ms. Parvathy I from the Student Team of IEEE EdSoc KC invited Mr. Thirumala Arohi, Vice President at Infosys Head of Education, Training, and Assessment, for providing a brief introduction about the initiative of Infosys Springboard. Accepting the invitation, Mr. Thirumal Arohi took charge of the responsibility and provided a brief about the program. In his address, Mr. Arohi shared some glimpses into the vision behind the initiative of Infosys Springboard. He then shared how this initiative evolved addressing the need of the time. He concluded by giving an overview of its functioning and workflow.

Thanking Mr. Arohi for his informative description, a virtual memento was presented to him on behalf of the IEEE EdSoc KC.

Subsequent to that, Mr. Govind invited the Chair of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter, Er. CM Varughese for the presidential address. In response to the invitation, Mr. Varughese came forward and deliver his note addressing the attendees.

After the presidential address, Ms. Parvathy invited Dr. MS Rajasree, Vice-Chancellor of APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University for the inaugural address. Accepting the invitation, Dr. Rajasree came forward and gave out her inaugural note congratulating the Chapter for the great initiative. In her note, she offered to provide all the support needed for the program on her behalf.

Following the address, a virtual memento was presented to Dr. Rajasree as a token of gratitude for her support.

After that, Mr. Govind invited Mr. Deepak Mathur, Director of IEEE R-10 (Asia-Pacific) for a note. Accepting the invitation, Mr. Deepak came forward and addressed the attendees and delegates with an engaging note. Following his address, a virtual memento was presented to Mr. Deepak as a token of gratitude.

Following that, a virtual photograph was taken as a souvenir of the great moment.

After that, the event moved forward to its next agenda, which is to inaugurate the microsite. To do the honor, Ms. Parvathy invited Founder Chair of IEEE EdSoc KC, Prof. Muhammed Kasim. In response to the invitation, Prof. Kasim came forward and inaugurated the microsite of Infosys Springboard.

Further, Mr. Govind invited Mrs. Suja Wariar, Corporate Diversity, and Inclusion HRD at Infosys limited for a note on her behalf on Infosys Springboard. Accepting the invitation, Mrs. Suja came forward and gave an overview of the objectives and possibilities of the program. She further explained how the program is about to revolutionize the learning culture of the coming generations. In recognition of her support, a virtual memento was presented to her on behalf of the IEEE EdSoc KC.

Ms. Parvathy then invited Mr. Kiran NG, Principal Architecture Track & Program Manager at Digital Literacy Initiative, Infosys CSR for a note from his part. In response to that, Mr. Kiran came forward and addressed the delegates and all the attendees with a warm address. In his note, he explained the joining procedures and other details associated with the program. He concluded his note with a quick overview of the program, detailing all its important features. Thanking Mr. Kiran, a virtual memento was presented to him on behalf of IEEE EdSoc KC.

Following that, Mr. Govind invited Mrs. Sarada Jayakrishnan, Chair of IEEE Kerala Section for the felicitation. Subsequent to that, Dr. Suresh Nair, Chair of IEEE India Council, Dr. Shankar J, Chair of the Student Activities Committee of IEEE Kerala Section, Mr. Arun Alex, Coordinator of Industry Attachment Cell at APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and Dr. Smitha Dharan, Principal of CE Chengannur took their chances to give out a felicitation on the great moment. Virtual Mementos were presented to them as a token of love and gratitude from IEEE EdSoc KC.

Following that, Ms. Parvathy invited Dr. Ushadevi Amma, Treasurer of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter for introducing the Project Team. Accepting the invitation, she came forward and introduced the Project Team that consists of Dr. VM Rajesh as Project Lead, and Dr. Rajesh Joseph Abraham, Dr. Ushadevi Amma, and Er. NP Subheesh as the Project Coordinators.

With the event reaching its conclusion, Mr. Govind invited the Secretary of Education Society Kerala Chapter Er. Jithin Krishnan to provide a vote of thanks. On behalf of the Education Society Kerala Chapter, Er. Jithin expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries who were present all through the event even in the middle of busy schedules. He also thanked all the attendees for their constant support. With that, the event concluded.
