Welcome to the IEEE Indonesia Section, Oceanic Engineering & Technology and Engineering Management Joint Societies Chapter (IEEE OESTEMS – CH10963). This chapter is established to promote the various disciplines related to marine studies and engineering, to enhance essential engineering management and leadership skills, and foster active knowledge transfer between the academic and practicing communities.
Indonesia as a maritime country has a total area of about 7.8 million km2 where more than 70% is water. Understanding and protecting the ocean through ocean engineering and engineering management are important to support sustainable development. As 2021 is the beginning of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development, we are excited to present activities that highlight ocean science and engineering as well as technology management and policy.
