The Institute for Intelligent Systems Research and Innovation (IISRI), at Deakin University, has created the first high-G centrifuge in Australia and is now moving towards making it human ready.  The system in its  entirety was designed, built and tested in Australia by local talents and puts Australia right at the forefront of aviation and space training technologies. Professor Saeid Nahavandi, FIEEE, who is also the EiC for SMC Magazine and chair for RIS TC, has led the design, fabrication, implementation, commissioning and testing of the High-G centrifuge. The project has received finding from government agencies in Australia.
