Inter-University Robotics Challenge

Build. Learn. Compete. Lead.

Calling all IEEE Student Branches across Victoria to participate in a Section-wide STEM Outreach initiative designed to engage STEM and NON-STEM students alike through hands-on robotics, teamwork, and innovation.

This program aims to make robotics accessible for everyone — even participants with little to no technical background.

PROGRAM FORMAT

Tier 1 – University Level Competition

  Hosted by individual IEEE Student Branches
August – September 2026

Each Student Branch conducts a 2-Day Event

Day 1 – Workshop + Build Session

  Introduction to line-following robots
Arduino and robot basics
Competition rules briefing
Teams build and test robots
Beginner-friendly support provided

Day 2 – Competition Day

  Teams compete within the university
Winning teams progress to Tier 2 Finals

Team Size: 2–4 Participants

Tier 2 – IEEE Victorian Section Finals

  Common venue within Melbourne (TBA)
October 2026

Winning teams from each university compete against one another in the Grand Finals.
