Innovation for Sustainable Development Workshop
Innovation for Sustainable Development Workshop is an activity workshop that leads students to learn an innovation development process through design thinking. This is a part of free electives for grade 11 high school students ( Matthayom 5 ) of The Prince Royal’s College, Chiang Mai, THAILAND. The workshop is held in a free electives class throughout the 2nd term of 2022 academic years ( 2 November 2022 – 15 February 2023 ) with 30 students attending.
The student who takes this class of workshops will get to know a The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with “Go Goals” board games( https://go-goals.org/ ) and implement a social innovation with social issues case.
Moreover, the student can practice with interview methods that let them understand the target user and identify the real problem of social issues they study. After that, the student has to try to prototype social solution ideas and test with real users. Then, they get user feedback that can improve for their better prototype.
All of the student works will display in an activity of “Innovation for sustainable development day” at faculty of engineering, Chiang Mai University on 15 February 2023. The works will get a real feedback with a simulated fundraising
