1. The current term of the Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at National Cheng Kung University expires on July 31, 2024. In accordance with the “Regulations for the Selection, Reappointment, and Dismissal of the Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National Cheng Kung University”, we hereby publicly invite nominations for the position of the new Dean. Recommendations for prospective candidates are welcome from all sectors.
  2. The term of the Dean: From August 1, 2024 to July 31, 2027
  3. The candidates should meet the following requirements:
    • Must be qualified for a full-time professor position. If not currently a professor at our university, the candidate must obtain a commitment letter agreeing to the appointment as a professor, approved by the faculty evaluation committee of the relevant department or institute of the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science before the third stage of the selection process.
    • Has an outstanding record of academic achievements.
    • Be fair-minded and possess planning, coordination, and leadership abilities.
  4. Recommendation Methods:
    • Recommended by a joint signature of more than ten full-time faculty members from universities or colleges in Taiwan and/or abroad.
    • Recommended by departments or institutes from universities or colleges in Taiwan and/or abroad.
    • Recommended by academic organizations in Taiwan and/or abroad.
    • Recommended by a joint signature of more than three members of the Dean Selection Committee of our college.

  6. Recommendation Deadline: Please fill out the recommendation materials and send them by registered mail to our office by March 15, 2024, Taiwan time (postmark as proof; if mailing from abroad, please also email to [email protected], with a copy to [email protected]). If delivering in person, please ensure it arrives at our office by 5:00 PM on March 15, 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.
