IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Chapter of Sri Lanka is one of the most active chapters of the country. The membership ranges from students, academics and researchers to electrical engineers working in the industry. There are student PES chapters in the universities of Sri Lanka and these cater to the needs of the students studying power and energy. The society chapter bridges the students, the young professionals, with the most senior members and provides a platform to collaborate, network and sets up a healthy environment to enrich the power and energy sector of Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka Power Engineering Conference
IEEE Power and Energy Sri Lanka Chapter is organizing the Sri Lankan Power Engineering Conference (SLPEC) to provide a platform for local undergraduate students in the Electrical Engineering domain to showcase their research and developments to a large audience. In addition to the presentations of selected papers, a special award is presented for the best paper and a few awards will be given as merit awards.
