Topic: A New Era of AI and Metaverse: Future Education – Challenges and Responses

Abstract:

Nowadays, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Metaverse have brought significant implications for the education sector, prompting us to understand both the challenges they introduce and the potential solutions they offer. Firstly, we’ll showcase some advancements in Artificial Intelligence, illustrating its progress. Similarly, we’ll explore examples of the Metaverse. Next, we’ll address the educational challenges faced in both the USA and China. We’ll show data about the immense pressures that our youth currently endure. What should our response be? Lastly, we’ll highlight a few things we are currently employing, we’re striving to merge Metaverse and AI technologies to make our educational approaches more lively, vibrant, and engaging. The goal is to make learning more appealing and efficient for primary and secondary school students.

Biography:

Prof. Chen is currently a Professor and Dean at Institute of the Metaverse and Artificial Intelligence Research, Wenzhou University. He Taught at U.S. universities (University of Akron in Ohio and Pennsylvania State University) for 22 years (1998-2020), European universities in Portugal and Germany for 4 years (1994-1998), and Zhejiang University for 10 years (1989-1998). As the primary inventor, he has been granted patents in the U.S., Japan, and the European Union, as well as nearly 20 software copyrights. And he published over 100 papers in authoritative international journals, which have been cited more than 6,000 times, with an H-index of 39. His research Fields include Metaverse technology, VR/AR technology, blockchain, and artificial intelligence.
