Topic: Toward Academic Excellence

Speaker:Prof. Kazuya Sakai, Tokyo Metropolitan University

A researcher is one of the most exciting job among all the engineering jobs. In this talk, I will provide several topics toward a professional career and illuminate the path to an academic professor and/or research scientist. To be specific, I will first talk about how to be a successful researcher including what is research and how to publish high quality papers. Second, I like to share my experience in the graduate program in the United States, where I learned most of things about not only research but also life. Finally, I will talk about how you prepare your professional career. I hope that this lecture eases the path into your academic excellence.
