The IEEE CSS Islamabad Lahore Karachi Jt. Sections chapter was founded in 2013. Prof. Dr. Aamer Iqbal Bhatti from the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST) served as the Founding Chair of the Chapter until 2017. The Chapter was awarded the outstanding chapter award in 2014.
