About IEEE Patna Sub Section
The IEEE Patna Sub-Section is a regional branch of IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity. Part of the IEEE Kolkata Section, the Patna Sub-Section serves as a platform for professionals, researchers, and students in Bihar and surrounding areas to engage with the broader IEEE community. Its establishment aims to promote technological innovation, professional networking, and educational outreach in this region, contributing to local technical growth and skill development. The IEEE Patna Sub-Section hosts various activities, including technical workshops, seminars, conferences, and student competitions, fostering knowledge exchange and skill-building among members. The Sub-Section also actively promotes IEEE’s membership benefits, including access to IEEE Xplore, mentorship programs, professional certifications, and networking opportunities. Through initiatives aimed at students, the IEEE Patna Sub-Section inspires the next generation of engineers and technologists, encouraging them to pursue STEM education and careers in technology. There are three society chapters, three student branches, and eleven society student branch chapters.
In the region of historical importance the IEEE made its entry with the establishment of IEEE Patna sub section on 23 July 2018. In the land of knowledge, where legends like Budhdha, Chanakya, Ashoka, Chandragupt Maurya flourished and made their impact. IEEE Patna subsection is dedicated to serve the society with the intention of involving more technical audience.
