The IEEE Nepal Section successfully organized a one-day workshop on Advances in Forensics and Cybersecurity” at Hotel Crowne Imperial, Kathmandu. The event brought together leading experts and professionals to discuss emerging trends and challenges in the fields of digital forensics and cybersecurity.

The workshop featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Deepak Mathur, Vice President of Member and Geographic Activities (MGA), IEEE-USA. Speaking from the dais, Mr. Mathur highlighted IEEE’s pivotal role in supporting technical innovation and professional development across the globe.

Another notable session was delivered by Dr. Amit Kumar, Senior IEEE Member, who presented on the topic DNA Forensics: The Biggest Opportunity Since the Cyber Revolution.” His talk shed light on the intersection of genetics and cybersecurity, emphasizing future opportunities in the domain of forensic science.

The workshop concluded with active participation from researchers, students, and industry professionals, marking it as a significant milestone in IEEE Nepal Section’s ongoing efforts to foster knowledge sharing and technical advancement in Nepal.
