🛑 📣 SPES2026 has been postponed ‼️

International Conference on Sustainable Power and Energy Systems (SPES2026), originally scheduled for 30–31 August 2026 at Hotel Royal Singi, has been postponed until further notice due to the devastating floods across the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli river corridors.

The severe impact of the flood, including widespread infrastructure damage, travel disruptions, and ongoing emergency relief operations, makes hosting the event at this time inappropriate. The safety and well-being of our partners, especially Nepal Electricity Authority, is our utmost priority.

Rescheduled Dates: We are actively monitoring the situation and working within our team to determine the new dates. We shall observe how the situation unfolds and the new dates shall be posted as soon as the crisis settles.

Registrations: All existing registrations, speaker slots, and sponsorships will remain valid for the rescheduled conference.

Our deepest condolences and thoughts are with the affected families, local communities, and first responders involved in rescue efforts across the region.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and solidarity during this difficult time.

IEEE Power & Energy Society Nepal Chapter since its establishment has been conducting activities to uplift the research and practices in electrical power and energy sector. The International conference on Sustainable Power and Energy Systems 2026 is a step forward and 5th edition of its flagship conference on “Role of Energy for Sustainable Social Development (RESSD)”. The conference would provide a common platform for researchers, academicians and practitioners from Universities, Industries as well as Government organizations to disseminate their knowledge and findings for the sustainability of the electrical power and energy sector.
