On November 27, 2021, the 2nd International Workshop on Motion Control and Power Electronics was held at the Tianyin Conference Center of Nanjing Institute of Technology. The workshop was jointly sponsored by IEEE Nanjing Section Industrial Electronics Society Chapter, Nanjing Institute of Technology, Southeast University, Jiangsu Association of Automation, and the Key Laboratory of Complex Engineering System Measurement and Control of the Ministry of Education. Affected by the COVID-19, the workshop was held in a hybrid online and offline mode.

This workshop invited ten well-known experts, including prof. Makoto Iwasaki (IEEE Fellow from Nagoya University of Technology), Prof. Wenhua Chen (IEEE Fellow from Loughborough University), Prof. Shihua Li (IEEE Fellow from Southeast University), Prof. Yongping Pan (from Sun Yat-sen University), Prof. Jing Na (from Kunming University of Technology), Prof. Hao Chen (from Quanzhou Equipment Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences), a researcher at Quanzhou Equipment Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Peng Yan (from Shandong University), Prof. Keliang Zhou (from Wuhan University of Technology), Prof. Jinpeng Yu (from Qingdao University), Prof. Huimin Ouyang (from Nanjing University of Technology), to give keynote reports on the advanced theories and technologies of motion control and power electronics.

The seminar attracted more than 300 scholars from at least 20 universities or institutions, including Southeast University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shandong University, Hunan University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics, Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing University of Technology, Shanghai Polytechnic University, ect.

Before the keynote reports, the participants were invited to visit the Science and Technology Innovation Center of Nanjing Institute of Technology.

The activities and report has achieved excellent academic exchange results.
