Technical Talk on Massive Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Connectivity (mURLLC) in 6G
On the evening of November 24, 2022, the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Madras Section Chapter successfully hosted its second technical discourse, commencing at 7:00 PM Indian Standard Time. This insightful event was conducted virtually via Zoom to accommodate a broad audience in a convenient format.
The session initiated with an inspiring welcome address from Dr. S. Brindha, the respected Chairman of the VTS Madras Section Chapter. Ensuing this introduction, Mr. Sanjiv Kumar, a committed member of the Executive Committee | Young Professionals (Execom | YP) – VTS MAS, presented a laudatory citation of the guest speaker, setting an anticipatory tone for the event.
The audience was then immersed in a profound technical presentation on “Massive Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Connectivity (mURLLC) in 6G” by the distinguished Dr. Arumugam Nallanathan. As a Professor of Wireless Communications and the pioneering head of the Communication Systems Research (CSR) group within the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London, Dr. Nallanathan brought a wealth of expertise and insight to his presentation.
He skillfully navigated through various 6G use cases, elucidating them in a compelling manner that sparked a spirited interaction between himself and the participants. This engaging question-and-answer segment extended for approximately thirty minutes, allowing attendees to gain deeper clarity and understanding of the intricate work associated with 6G use cases.
In recognition of his significant contribution, Dr. Nallanathan was honored with a digital memento. The event drew to a close with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts that facilitated such a successful gathering.
The talk was met with considerable interest, attracting over 65 professional members from various zones throughout India.
