E-Delivery of EMR for a Value Based Health Care

IEEE Education Society (EdSoc) Kerala Chapter in collaboration with the IEEE EMB Kerala Chapter organized a webinar on the topic ‘E – Delivery of EMR for a Value-Based Health Care’ on August 18, 2021, from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm IST. Dr. Geetha Govindan, IEEE Senior Member, and Scientist at ‘G’ Computer Division from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology was the speaker of the day. The event was carried out in the presence of prominent members like Chapter Chair – Mr. Varughese CM, Founder Chair – Prof Muhammed Kasim, Chapter Advisor – Dr. C Kesavaswamy, Secretary – Mr. Jithin Krishnan, and many more.

The session was intended to give an insight into the strategic framework of E-Delivery of EMR for Value-Based Health Care. The event began with the welcome note of Mr. Varughese CM, Chair of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter. Jithin Krishnan, Secretary of IEEE EdSoc Kerala Chapter invited Dr. Geetha Govindan for the talk.

The webinar began with an overview of E-Delivery of public services in general. She further explained how this system addresses the need for efficiency, transparency, and reliability of government services. Followed by that, she gave an insight into the system of EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR (Electronic Health Record). As a conclusion of the talk, she also pointed out the various principles associated with value-based health delivery.
