IEEE PES Karachi section organized a significant event in collaboration with IEEE PES SBC MUET and ORIC MUET on 6th March 2024. The event, themed “Condition Based Maintenance of Equipment & it’s need in power sector” aimed to provide basic know how of major equipment in field of electrical engineering those are mainly used in generation, transmission or distribution side.
Engr. Kapil Dev presented critical importance of Condition Based Maintenance in the power sector, emphasizing risk mitigation, cost reduction, and technological innovation
The event culminated on a celebratory note, expressing gratitude to the team, awarding participation certificates, and treating attendees to a delightful refreshment featuring samosas. Throughout the session on “Condition Based Maintenance of Equipment and its Need in the Power Sector,” attendees gained invaluable insights into the risks associated with neglected equipment, notably transformers, including the potential for significant financial losses and safety hazards.

The webinar aimed to explore the latest developments in Electric Vehicle (EV) technology, highlighting the transition towards a sustainable future.

1. Prof. Dr. B.S. Chowdhry: Distinguished National Professor and Former Dean at Mehran UET, Jamshoro, Pakistan. Prof. Dr. B.S. Chowdhry provided valuable insights by appreciating the efforts of fellow guest speakers. 2. Dr. Ghulam-e-Mustafa Abro: Postdoctoral Fellow Researcher at the Centre for Aviation & Space Exploration, King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He shared insights from his research highlighting the role of EVs and going through Future Electric vehicle propulsion systems.
3. Fidan Hallaqi: Founder & CEO of Electric Mobility LLC, Rochester Institute of Technology, Kosovo. Fidan Hallaqi discussed the global landscape of electric mobility, showcasing innovative solutions and initiatives driving the adoption of EVs worldwide.
