The joint Chapter of Circuits and Systems Society and Control Systems Society started in eighties. In 1993 under the Chairmanship of (late) Dr. Jayanta K. Pal of Engineers India Limited (EIL) it received Outstanding Chapter Award from the Control Systems Society and in 2002 from Circuits and Systems Society under Prof. Sudhanshu S. Jamuar of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. In August 2003 Dr. Jayadeva of IIT Delhi became the Chairman of the Chapter. He was followed by Dr. Subhendu Bhasin of IIT Delhi, who took over in December 2012 and later by Dr. Anuj Dhawan, Dr. Shaunak Sen, Dr. Rakesh Palani, also of IIT Delhi.
