Five executive committee meetings have been held in the year 2025 on 11th January, 8th March, 24th May, 21st September and 16th November, 2025 respectively.
A special Execom meeting was successfully held on 25th July, 2025, in the presence of IEEE President - Prof. Kathleen A. Kramer and IEEE President Elect - Ms Mary Ellen Randall.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - (12th April, 2026)

The IEEE Delhi Section has announced fresh elections for its Executive Committee (Execom) for 2026, as directed by the IEEE Region 10 Director (communication dated 2 April 2026) and approved by IEEE Member & Geographic Activities, in accordance with the IEEE MGA Operations Manual, as the 2025 revised bylaws remain under review. Elections will be held for nine positions (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and five members) via IEEE vTools. The present Nomination Committee, comprising of Prof. A. Q. Ansari (Chair), Prof. Shiban Koul, and Prof. Subrata Mukhopadhyay, shall issue the Call for Nominations shortly. The above-mentioned Nomination Committee shall be conducting the Election. Director-Elect, IEEE new Region 11, has been appointed as the Advisor/Observer for the Elections. All prior Organizational Unit (OU) elections should be conducted afresh in compliance with these guidelines. Meanwhile, all activities of Subsections, Chapters, Affinity Groups, Student Branches, and other associated Organizational Units (OUs) shall continue as planned, with the 2025 budget remaining in force until the new Execom assumes charge.

About IEEE Delhi Section

Delhi Section is one of the 14 Sections in India coming under Asia-Pacific Region, the Region 10 of IEEE. At present it covers entire northern part of the country consisting of the four states of Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and the National Capital Territory of Delhi, Union Territories of Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh. IEEE Delhi Section was established on May 13, 1976 (after remaining as Sub-section since 1974). IEEE Delhi Section has as per latest (April 12, 2026) statistics, 5561 active Members. Current execom of Delhi section took charge of the office on 29th December, 2024, under the chairmanship of Prof. M N Hoda. As resolved in 3rd execom meeting held on 31st May, 2025, Delhi section is celebrating its 50th year of creation. Accordingly, all OUs associated with Delhi section are encouraged to use 50 years celebrations logo while performing its activities.

Student branches are being encouraged to actively participate in Golden Jubilee celebrations and as per decision taken in execom meeting held on 24th May, additional financial support will be provided as per details available here

As on 12th April, 2026, section along with all its units, has organized 490 activities (320 – Technical, 68 – Professional, 59 – Non technical, 36- administrative, 05 – Humanitarian, and Pre-U STEM program – 02) total no. of events for which reports have been filed in VTools.
