IEEE Computer Society Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section Organized Insightful Online Session on Explainable AI

Bhubaneswar, July 17, 2026 – The IEEE Computer Society Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section successfully hosted an engaging online technical session titled “Explainable AI for Trustworthy Healthcare Systems”. The session was delivered by Dr. Abhilash Pati, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at FET-ITER, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar.

More than 30 professionals and students participated enthusiastically. Dr. Pati delivered a highly informative and interactive presentation, keeping the audience engaged by posing relevant questions throughout the talk. He effectively explained how Explainable AI (XAI) addresses critical challenges in healthcare AI — such as model opacity — by enabling transparent reasoning, feature attribution, rule extraction, and visualization techniques.
