IEEE CS Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section Holds 2nd EC Meeting

Bhubaneswar, 27 May 2026 — The IEEE Computer Society Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section (CH11163) successfully conducted its 2nd Executive Committee Meeting on 27th May 2026 via Google Meet. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Hare Krishna Ratha, Chair of the Chapter.

Key Highlights:

• Membership Growth: 90 student members onboarded, with highest contributions from KIIT (32), CUTM (19), and SOA (18).
• Achievements: 21 Virtual Technical Talks, 3 new CS Student Branch Chapters inaugurated, active student participation in CINE 2026 & IC-ICNS conferences, and free registrations for CS students.
• Future Plans: Weekly technical talks, formation of 4 more SBCs, student competitions, IEEE Day celebrations, and release of the 1st Biennial Newsletter in July 2026.

The EC members discussed challenges including funding and membership retention, and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening student engagement and technical activities.

The meeting concluded with renewed enthusiasm to make the chapter more vibrant in 2026.
