Technical Talk on “IEEE DataPort: Advancing Research Data Management, Sharing, and AI-Driven Visualization”

The IEEE Computer Society Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section successfully organized a highly informative virtual technical talk on 17th April 2026. The session featured Dr. Anjali Diwan, SMIEEE, Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering–AI at Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat.
Dr. Diwan delivered an engaging presentation on IEEE DataPort, a trusted open platform by IEEE that empowers researchers to publish, access, share, and collaborate on datasets across diverse domains. The talk highlighted key features including dataset publication, metadata management, open access mechanisms, and how these contribute to research reproducibility and greater visibility.
A special focus was given to recent advancements in AI-driven visualization, demonstrating how automated analysis, intelligent pattern recognition, and interactive tools can transform raw data into actionable insights. The session provided practical guidance on leveraging IEEE DataPort to strengthen collaboration, enhance research outcomes, and drive innovation in the global scientific community.
More than 15 professional members and student members participated enthusiastically in the virtual event. The talk successfully created awareness about IEEE DataPort at the IEEE Bhubaneswar Section level and its potential to support data-intensive research.
Hare Krishna Ratha, Advisor, IEEE Bhubaneswar Section and Chair, IEEE CS Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section also participated in the event and interacted with the speaker. The event was managed efficiently by Dr. Amiya Panda and Dr. Sricheta Parui, while the program was perfectly coordinated by Mr. Manish Sahu, Chair, IEEE CS SBC, SOA and Ms. Khushee Ranjan, Secretary, IEEE CS SBC, SOA. Dr. Anjali Diwan, who had earlier delivered a talk for the Bhubaneswar Section, graciously accepted the invitation once again and helped create valuable awareness about IEEE DataPort among the members.
