IEEE Bhubaneswar Section CS Chapter Chair Participates in IEEE Region 10 Computer Society Chapter Congress 2026, Kathmandu, Nepal

Bhubaneswar, India – 6 April 2026

Hare Krishna Ratha, Advisor, IEEE Bhubaneswar Section and Chair, IEEE Computer Society Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section, successfully represented the section at the prestigious IEEE Region 10 Computer Society Chapter Congress 2026, held from 3–5 April 2026 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Organized by the IEEE Nepal Section Computer Society Chapter under the leadership of Arun K. Timalsina, the three-day congress brought together Computer Society Chapter Chairs, officers, and volunteers from across IEEE Region 10 for intensive networking, knowledge sharing, and strategic discussions aimed at strengthening IEEE CS activities in the region.

Speaking about his participation, Mr Ratha highlighted the congress as a highly enriching platform. His key takeaways include:

• Valuable networking opportunities with fellow CS Chapter Chairs from across Region 10, fostering meaningful professional connections.
• Direct engagement with the R10 CS leadership team, including Area Coordinators and senior volunteers.
• Exposure to best practices adopted by successful Computer Society chapters, which he plans to adapt for enhancing activities of the Bhubaneswar Chapter.

Mr Ratha was particularly impressed by the outstanding enthusiasm and dedication of the student volunteers from the Nepal Section. He noted that the student volunteers put in tremendous effort and hard work, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and successful execution of the entire event.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mini Ulanat,  Eric Berkowitz, and Dr. S.R. Samantray for their kind support and facilitation, which made his participation possible. Er. Ratha also extended sincere thanks to the entire organizing team led by Arun Timalsina and the Nepal Section for their warm hospitality and flawless organization of the congress.

The IEEE Bhubaneswar Section Computer Society Chapter looks forward to leveraging the insights and connections gained from this congress to organize impactful technical activities, workshops, and initiatives for its members in the coming year.
