The IEEE Computer Society Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section is pleased to share the successful inauguration of the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter (SBC60174044) at XIM University, Bhubaneswar, held on 1st August 2025 at the Seminar Hall – I, XIM University.

The event was graced by Shri Hare Krishna Ratha, Advisor, IEEE Bhubaneswar Section and Chair, IEEE Computer Society Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section, who attended the function as the Chief Guest. He delivered an inspiring talk on IEEE, highlighting the benefits of IEEE and IEEE Computer Society memberships, and encouraged students to actively participate in IEEE’s global technical community.

The ceremony was also attended by esteemed dignitaries of XIM University including Dr.Rudra Mohan Tripathy, Dean Academics of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, and Dr. Devendra Kumar Yadav, Branch Counselor. Shri Ratha expressed heartfelt appreciation for the excellent coordination and hospitality extended by the faculty and student volunteers.

Special acknowledgment goes to Ms. Ipsita Prusty, Past Chair, IEEE XIM STB, and Ms. Rhea Bachheti, Chair of the newly formed CS SBC, Mr Anshumaan Patnaik, Vice Chair, along with the entire team of office bearers, for their contributions to making the event a resounding success.

The formation of the Student Branch Chapter marks a significant step towards cultivating a strong IEEE community within XIM University. This platform will serve as a catalyst for nurturing technical leadership, innovation, and collaboration among the student members.
