The IEEE KIIT Student Branch celebrated IEEE Day 2025 on 11th October 2025 at Seminar Hall–1, Campus–6, KIIT Deemed to be University. The theme for this year’s celebration was “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow.”

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Shri Hare Krishna Ratha, Advisor, IEEE Bhubaneswar Section and Chair, IEEE Computer Society Chapter, Bhubaneswar Section, who addressed the gathering and spoke about the dynamic growth of IEEE activities at KIIT. He motivated students and professionals to engage actively in IEEE initiatives and highlighted the significant contribution of KIIT, which accounts for nearly 28% of the total IEEE Bhubaneswar Section membership and hosts 16 active IEEE Student Branch Chapters (SBCs).

Other dignitaries present included Dr AK Tripathy, Advisor, IEEE Bhubaneswar Section, Prof. Subhransu Ranjan Samantaray (Chair, IEEE Bhubaneswar Section), Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty (Registrar, KIIT DU), Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahu (NRDC), Prof. Jangamshetti Suresh (Haveri University), and Swami Prem Anveshi (Founder, Anveshi Foundation).

The event showcased IEEE’s mission of fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing among academia and industry, and inspired students to leverage IEEE as a platform for growth and professional excellence.
