The IEEE ACT Section is delighted to invite you to its Annual General Meeting, to be held on Thursday 28 November 2024, at the Ainslie Tennis Club, 55 Paterson Street, Ainslie, 2602 ACT.

The three tennis courts and the clubhouse are exclusively reserved for our AGM from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Depending on children number one or two courts will be dedicated for the children activities. The rest of the time courts are open for fun tennis to all present.

This event is open for all IEEE members in the ACT and their partners/families including children. Please mark your calendar.

AGM and board election

Nominations are now open and solicited.
At the AGM we shall confirm received nominations (see below) and will strive to fill all vacant positions.

Each term is for one year starting 1 January 2025.

Under IEEE rules, no position may be held for more than four consecutive years and not more than six years in total (with interruptions). However, we have been applying so far, a two year maximum period for any position. Exceptions will be made in cases where no other candidates are available.

Nominations will close by COB Monday 18 November, 2024.

If there is more than one nominee for a position, then election will take place. Any positions still vacant at the AGM will be open to nominations at the AGM for filling. Also, a candidacy statement may be requested and made available to members attending the AGM.
